We created a campaign targeting Android Pay users who watch Youtube. We wanted them to choose Mastercard as the primary payment card within Android Pay. To do that, we worked with Google to find the top three Youtube creators our target was watching and cast them in our spots.
Each influencer played a cashier with a lot of free time on their hands' thanks to Android Pay. We made sure to put our brand message in the first five unskippable seconds. Then cut long-form spots where our cashiers demonstrated even more of what they did with their spare time which paid off for fans who watched way past the SKIP button.
This was also the most successful Influencer campaign on Youtube during this time and these are still some of the most-watched online Mastercard videos, across all of their global channels.
